MARION, IL — A Marion, Illinois man was arrested after he allegedly followed several women while being interested in their feet.

On Tuesday, a woman reported that 38-year-old John Rutherford was following her in Kroger.

The woman told officers that Rutherford blocked her from moving several times and reached down to touch her toes.

On the same day, Rutherford also allegedly followed other women in Sam’s Club and Target. He was looking at their feet and scaring them.

Rutherford was arrested Wednesday on two counts of battery and one count of disorderly conduct. He was taken to the Williamson County Jail.

He was released Friday on a $5,000 recognizance bond.
